Internet, Wide Area Network & more

Do you find yourself frustrated at slow connectivity, have satellite offices that can’t connect properly to head office? Is your broadband usage outpaced by the growth of your company? So many companies end up in contracts that are not suited to their business needs as their options weren’t explored fully by an independent advisor. Contact us to see how we can help.

Connection Types

With so many options available it is easy to become overwhelmed. Many companies don’t realise that they don’t have to go with just one provider for each of their sites. HM Network offer you the best of all worlds as they are not tied to offering you only one providers product or service, so you are sure to get the best solution for ALL your connectivity. Your head office may need dedicated Ethernet connections (leased lines), remote workers and those outlets in built up areas another type altogether. This is the advantage of working with an independent and impartial company – you are not being ‘sold’ a one size fits all product, you are given the best options for your set up.

Single premises

If your business operates from your home, you have home workers or operate from just one set of premises then there are several connectivity solutions for you. The difficult part of deciding what connectivity product is best for you, is trawling through all the different solutions from a multitude of suppliers and trying to work out how to compare like for like.

You can spend a huge amount of time comparing all the different offerings from a multitude of providers and end up with a what seems like a deal on price, but hasn’t got the reliability you needed and may even have a load of extras that you are never going to use.

It’s a bit like when you want to change mobile phones and the deals are not the same with each company you look at – even when you are looking at the same phone. This is where a chat with us can take away that headache. Let us help you find the right connectivity solution for you, using our in depth knowledge of the market place and the complexities of each product on offer.

For multiple locations

With multiple site companies the choice for connectivity may vary from location to location and is dependent on so many factors. Many companies we advise have the same connectivity solution for all their locations, and most of this is unnecessary and expensive. Your usage and needs have a bearing on the solution that best suits each individual location.

Flexible term broadband may suit your company if you need to be ‘on site’ for a few weeks or many months at a time but not permanently. Flexible term broadband is ideal for construction companies, who have a site office for several months, and require connectivity in the site office, but the site office is then removed and relocated a few months later.

If you have the same provider supplying all your sites then give us a call and use our impartial advice to consider what really is best for you, rather than having the ‘one size fits all’ connectivity you may have in place at present.

It is definitely worth looking at your connectivity if you have not only multiple sites, but also home workers. Call us for a no obligation review of your current connectivity and we will advise you on what your ideal connectivity set up would be. Our advice is totally independent of any suppliers, and impartial.

For temporary locations

Flexible term broadband ‘does what it says on the tin’ and you can take it for as little as one month. If you are only just setting up in business or are thinking of moving premises don’t get tied into a long term contract that can be costly to get out of.

If you organise festivals or events, then short term broadband gives you the ability to work on location for short periods of time and you can also offer connectivity to those attending these events. Now there’s no need for you to be without connectivity with Short Term Broadband.

Types of connectivity

There are basically a couple of types of connectivity. Shared or dedicated connectivity (leased lines). Many companies purchase ‘shared’ lines as they are unaware that the speeds quoted are ‘up to’ speeds and that this speed is affected by how many other companies on the line at the same time. With a shared line you may experience periods where your connectivity runs slowly. With dedicated lines the speed quoted is guaranteed, as it is only your company using the line and the speed is covered in SLAs.

Broadband that is shared is offered in many different formats, and this is where using an independent supplier means you get the very best from what is available to fit your company set up, rather than what a salesperson is trying to ‘sell’ you.

It is a minefield and trying to wade through to work out what is the best deal for you can take you weeks, because there are so many options and of course all the companies like to make theirs look different to the rest.

Here at HM we take the strain of trying to work out what you really need and then find the best solution. Use our years of experience and understanding of your business and the marketplace to ensure you are getting best fit. We are independent of any company and all our advice is impartial.

Leased lines are ideal for those companies that need guaranteed speeds on connectivity or those who require levels of security that a line that is used only by them provides. If you do most of your transactions online or have an internet based company leased lines may be just what you are looking for.

With leased lines you are able to adjust your usage as your company grows or the number of devices connecting to the internet increases. Whilst you are looking at a premium connectivity solution, you are getting a whole host of ‘extras’ for your money in the form of security, guaranteed speeds and faster upload times.

If you have temporary homeworkers then it may be worth you considering flexible term broadband connectivity, which can be switched off as and when you need to.
